Michael is a nationally recognized Chief Information Officer with a passion for transforming healthcare through innovation, leadership, and technology. With a career spanning the healthcare, marketing, and manufacturing sectors, he has built and led high-performing IT teams known for driving meaningful change.

He was honored with the inaugural 2022 Tennessee ORBIE Award and has twice been named one of the “Top Health System CIOs to Know” by Becker’s Healthcare. His insights have been featured in national publications and podcasts, and he is a frequent speaker at events hosted by Becker’s, CHIME, and CNBC.

Over the course of his career, Michael has held technology leadership roles across a diverse range of healthcare environments—including academic medical centers, large integrated delivery networks, and community-based rural systems. He also brings experience in healthcare consulting, helping organizations align technology with strategy and operational performance.

In an era of constant disruption in healthcare, Michael focuses on using technology to elevate care delivery and the patient experience. He is equally committed to developing future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and reflective writing.

Michael currently serves as CIO for a regional health system in the Midwest, supporting a network of hospitals, clinics, and providers across a broad rural footprint. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife and three children—and the occasional barbecue pilgrimage.
